The YMCA Facility will be CLOSED for use during these projects. During this time YMCA Team Members & volunteers will be conducting general maintenance and cleaning throughout the facility. The YMCA will reopen on Tuesday, September 4 at 5:15 am.
Why did the WHOLE facility need to be closed? This is our annual chance to hit the reset button and get as many projects done as possible in a very limited amount of time. With our facility being open 350+ days a year for roughly 15 hours a day and averaging 800+ visits each day, a week like this is needed to keep up on facility maintenance.
GYMS, RACQUETBALL COURTS & AEROBICS STUDIO-
All floors resurfaced.
All 3 pools drained, cleaned, and refilled. Water features scrubbed and cleaned.
Cardio Equipment being replaced.
ODD JOBS AROUND THE FACILITY-
We also painted, patched, and cleaned all areas of the Y. Hallways were full of ladders, cleaning materials, paint buckets, and other supplies.
We appreciate your understanding and patience while we work to improve everyone's experience at the Y!
We have a great community! The cause of the Y is to strengthen community and this week the roles were reversed and the community strengthened the Y! Thank you to all our volunteers that came in to get us through this week. Taking on little projects keep our facility running smoothly and allow us to continue our work in providing wellness opportunities like group exercise, daily flexible child care for families with our After School Program and Summer Day Camp, and teaching water safety through swim lessons to children and adults. All made possible because these volunteers took a few hours from their personal schedules to make a difference at the Y! Even more pictures of our week can be found on our Facebook Page.
