WHERE DO I BEGIN?

First, don't worry, everyone's wellness journey is different and we can help guide you on your way.  An orientation with our knowledgable Wellness Center Staff is a good starting point where we will walk you through the proper use of our cardio floor equipment and circuit training weight machines.  An orientation lasts about an hour, and is a great way to get through your first Y workout.  Schedule your appointment with the Welcome Center today.

 

FAMILY FITNESS

Start your kids off on the right foot—get them into fitness today! All kids ages 9-13 are required to take our Family Fitness class along with a parent prior to being allowed to use the Wellness Center and Track. Family Fitness is a free orientation class, learn all the basics of working out on the machines and then begin working out together as a family! Please schedule an appointment for your orientation.

JUMP START (2 one hour sessions)

Unsure if Personal training is right for you? Purchase a Jump Start Package as an intro to personal training. Two, 1-hour sessions with a Personal Trainer. Contact the Director of Personal Wellness for more information or to register!

Bored of your current workout routine?  We understand.  Your mind is a big part of this workout game too and you need a variety of activites and challenges to stay engaged. Here are some of our upcoming options to keep you moving: 

 

Group Classes

Live classes with energetic nationally certified instructors! Over 50 different class times each week!

HO, HO HOLD YOUR WEIGHT CHALLENGE

$20 Y Members ONLY
October 22 - December 31

As a part of the challenge, each participant receives:

An exclusive long sleeved t-shirt

Three weigh-ins: During Week 1, Week 5 (optional) and Week 10 (mandatory)

Weekly emails with workout tips, healthy holiday recipes and special
fitness challenges.

Maintain your weight within two pounds, or lose weight, over a ten-week period. If you succeed, receive a $20 YMCA voucher, good toward YMCA
programs!

COUCH TO 5K RUNNING PROGRAM

September 17 - November 15

This 9 week class will meet 2 times a week to give you all the tools you need to successfully complete the Gobble Wobble 5K! Race entry is included in the cost.

RACQUETBALL LEAGUE

September 10 - November 26

12-week league separated by skill level. League is open to all age ranges. Participants play weekly. You and your opponent schedule your match based on your personal schedules. Post season tournament will follow league.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

These lessons are designed for adults and youth to give participants individualized attention in order to improve or master their swimming skills.

Whether you are learning to swim for the first time or wanting to refine your skills for a Triathlon, private swim lessons will assist you in reaching your goals. 

Together the instructor, participants and/or parent determine the goals for the session and the curriculum is customized to meet these goals. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length and are structured for 1 to 3 participants. Minimum of 4 lessons to start. To schedule Private Lessons please contact our Director of Sports & Recreation or register in person at the Welcome Center.
