WHERE DO I BEGIN?

First, don't worry, everyone's wellness journey is different and we can help guide you on your way.  An orientation with our knowledgable Wellness Center Staff is a good starting point where we will walk you through the proper use of our cardio floor equipment and circuit training weight machines.  An orientation lasts about an hour, and is a great way to get through your first Y workout.  Schedule your appointment with the Welcome Center today.

 

FAMILY FITNESS

Start your kids off on the right foot—get them into fitness today! All kids ages 9-13 are required to take our Family Fitness class along with a parent prior to being allowed to use the Wellness Center and Track. Family Fitness is a free orientation class, learn all the basics of working out on the machines and then begin working out together as a family! Please schedule an appointment for your orientation.

JUMP START (2 one hour sessions)

Unsure if Personal training is right for you? Purchase a Jump Start Package as an intro to personal training. Two, 1-hour sessions with a Personal Trainer. Contact the Director of Personal Wellness for more information or to register!

HEALTH ASSESSMENT

This non-invasive health assessment will bring you to a better idea of where your current health status lies.

The assessment will go over non-fatiguing tests, specific vitals, and physical measurements that will include Cardiorespiratory, Strength, and Flexibility.

HEALTHY LIVING WORKSHOPS

Ever wonder if you’re doing exercises properly or why sometimes you have nagging aches and pains in your joints? It may be due to improper form during exercises, muscle imbalances, lack of mobility in a joint, or simply muscle weakness.

All sessions meet in the Meeting Room at the YMCA.

RAISE THE BAR - YOUTH SPORTS TRAINING

(4th - 12th grade)

In between seasons and still want to improve your game? Push yourself to be bigger, faster, and stronger. Training can be scheduled according to the participant and trainer’s schedule. Training Includes a strength, speed, agility, and conditioning
all directed towards the sport of their preference. General plans for multisport athletes are also available. Packages include a Pre and Post test to assess improvements.

COUCH TO 5K - SHAMROCK SHUFFLE

Mondays & Thursdays at 5:30 PM

This 9 week class will meet 2 times a week to give you all the tools you need to successfully complete the Shamrock Shuffle 5K! Race entry is included!

Groups will meet upstairs in the Wellness Center.

GOBBLE WOBBLE 5K

Thursday, November 28, 2019!

5K is chip timed and begins at 8:30 AM; awards will be given to the top 3 male and female participants. All Runners will receive a Swag Bag. Pre-register by Noon November 13 to guarantee your Gobble Wobble sweatshirt. Race capped at 300 runners.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

These lessons are designed for adults and youth to give participants individualized attention in order to improve or master their swimming skills.

Whether you are learning to swim for the first time or wanting to refine your skills for a Triathlon, private swim lessons will assist you in reaching your goals. 

Together the instructor, participants and/or parent determine the goals for the session and the curriculum is customized to meet these goals. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length and are structured for 1 to 3 participants. Minimum of 4 lessons to start. To schedule Private Lessons please contact our Director of Sports & Recreation or register in person at the Welcome Center.
