The YMCA’s Barbell Club is a new community-building program that is for all ages who like to weight train. There is no prior experience necessary to participate. Our goal is simple, it’s to build community by getting stronger together.
All participants will receive a monthly program that is customized to their goals. Programs will be written by one of our Personal Trainers or Strength & Conditioning professionals. All coaches are NSCA certified as a Personal Trainer or a Strength and Conditioning Coach. All coaches also hold their USA - Weightlifting Certification. Coaches will provide programming for 2, 3, or 4 days of training.
To be a part of the Marshall Area YMCA Barbell Club, we do ask for a continuing fee of $20/month. Youth (12—18) have a reduced fee of $15/month.
Though this program is designed for the participant to be able to train throughout the day; Youth will have the opportunity to access live coaching each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30 - 5:00 PM.
The Y offers competitive adult leagues year round. Leagues rotate and options are available in various skill levels. Upcoming league information:

Teams compete in a modified
indoor soccer game.Games are played onFridays & Saturdays.Season ends with a tournament.Maximum of 12 players per team.Maximum of 12 teams.

League separated by skill level. League is open to all age ranges.Participants play weekly.You and your opponent schedule your match based on your personal schedules.
Post season tournament will follow league.
