FACE MASK POLICY

Anyone entering the Y facility age 6 and older will be required to wear a face mask in common areas of the facility per the State of Minnesota Executive Order 20-81. Common areas include the lobby, hallways, locker rooms, wellness center, and indoor group exercise spaces (before and after class).

MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED WHEN:
You are actively exercising with cardio or weight equipment or using the track.

Attending a group exercise class with proper physical distancing. (Mask is required before and after class)

Swimming, or in the whirlpool and physically distant.

YMCA Phase V Guidelines

PHASE V CHANGES IN OUR FACILITY:

OPEN AREAS OF THE FACILITY - Wellness Center, Weight Room, Track, and Extra cardio equipment in the gym, Indoor Group Exercise, Lap Swimming, Water Aerobics, Private Swim Lessons, Whirlpool, Zero Depth Pool Open Swim, Open Gym, Racquetball Court, and Family/Men's/Women's Locker Rooms.

  • Masks are required for anyone age 6 and older inside the Y facility in all common areas, but masks are not required while actively working out or swimming.
  • We will have an indoor facility capacity of 36 people at a time.
  • Lap swim will be available by reservation. 6 swimmers at a time.
  • Private Swim Lessons available by registration.
  • Group Exercise will be available by reservation. 9 participants per class.
  • Water Aerobics available by registration. 10 participants per class.
  • 2 Open Gym 1/2 court areas will be available for reservation by household or individual use with a time limit of an hour. We ask that you bring your own basketball.
  • Zero Depth Pool Open Swim available by reservation with an one hour 15 minute time limit.
  • 1 Racquetball Court will be available for reservation by household or individual use with a time limit of an hour. We ask that you bring your own racquetball equipment.
  • Whirlpool will be available with a capacity of 6 members at a time.
  • All locker rooms will be accessible. Please bring your own lock.
  • Members must maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between one another.
  • All staff and members will have their temperature checked upon entering the facility.
  • Staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (masks).
  • We will have controlled access to the facility. Entrance and exit at the A Street entrance only.
  • Recommended time for members in facility set at 90 minutes.
  • Members must disinfect equipment before and after use.
  • It is recommended to wash hands before and after working out with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Coffee will not be available.
  • Increased signage throughout the building to encourage social distance, hand washing and remind members to disinfect equipment.
  • Child Watch will remain closed. Space is being used by camp.
  • General Open Swim will remain closed.
  • Kid's Gym will remain closed.

Phase V Group Exercise Guidelines

GROUP EXERCISE GUIDELINES

  • Zoom, Facebook Live, YouTube and YMCA 360 will continue to be used for virtual classes. VIRTUAL SCHEDULE
  • Most classes will be 45 minutes in length. See schedule for any class notes.
  • Indoor Group Exercise Classes. Reservations are required. 9 max capacity of participants per class.
  • Water Aerobics. Reservations are required. 10 max participants per class. GROUP EXERCISE SCHEDULE
  • Masks are not required during class exercise, but are required before and after class.

Camp Safety Guidelines

CAMP SAFETY GUIDELINES

We are thrilled to offer camp this summer, and are committed to providing fun and adventure for your child while keeping them safe. We have learned over the last few months while providing Essential Personnel Childcare how to keep children safe in these unprecedented times. We will be following all CDC,ACA, YUSA, local health department and state guidelines, which means camp will be a little different this summer to ensure the health and safety of our campers.

  • Masks are required for all campers age 6 and older. Masks are for indoor use during activities that are unable to support proper physical distancing. Masks will not be worn during physical activities, while swimming, or while outside and capable of being physically distant.
  • Check-in and check-out will be conducted at separate entrance.
  • We will limit bus usage for transportation.
  • All campers will have their temperature checked at check-in and mid-day. Temperature must be below 100.0 to remain at camp.
  • Any camper with a temperature above 100.0 will not be allowed to return for two weeks. Camper can be readmitted with a note signed by a physician or a negative COVID-19 test.
  • Campers must wash/sanitize hands before and after each activity/meal.
  • Camp groups will be limited to a 2:8 ratio.
  • Campers will eat and complete activities with their camp group only.
  • All camper’s personal items must fit in a backpack that can be hung on a hook or chair.
  • All campers must bring a refillable water bottle with them.
  • Outside vendors will not provide activities for campers.
  • We will not be conducting field trips.
  • There will be heighten cleaning throughout the day, including a disinfecting fogger for camp activity rooms.
  • Limited number of total campers due to spacing/occupancy guidelines.

We will review our guidelines throughout the summer and make any changes as necessary. Any revisions to our guidelines will be communicated through email, our website and social media

Online reservations are now available through Motion Vibe. First step is to create an account, please click here. You will need your YMCA barcode number from your membership card to complete your account.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Reservations are needed for certain areas and classes, list of available areas can be found in the portal. 
  • Quickly register your reservation from our list of available classes
    • If you are unable to attend your class or time-slot registered please unregister to open up a spot for another member (unregister by clicking the unregister button)
  • Notification will be sent to remind prior your reservation time

SUMMER PROGRAMS

Summer programs in some capacity will happen at the Y this summer, within the guidelines listed by the CDC and the state goverment to remain healthy and safe.  Keep watching this page for updates, as we do expect changes throughout the summer.

SWIM LESSONS: Swim lessons will be offered as Private and Semi Private lessons this summer.  REGISTER ONLINE

COVID NOTE:  Current guidelines only allow participants from the same household and a parent/guardian will need to be in the pool with the participant while the instructor stays on the pool deck for Levels 1 - 3.  Level 4 - 6 participants will be in the pool on their own with the instructor on the deck following our usual lesson protocols.

YOUTH SPORTS: Youth programming and planning is underway. Watch for new start dates and registration information soon.

PERSONAL TRAINING: Is currently being held virtually REGISTER ONLINE.  One on one in person training is NOW being offered.  Contact the Y for details 532-9622.

YOUTH SPORTS PERFORMANCE (RAISE THE BAR) - Currently being offered 2 or 3 days a week and registration is open.  REGISTER ONLINE

SUMMER CAMP: Is being held at the Y with a capacity of 48 campers per week. Children will be in groups of 8 with 2 staff. Registration is open, but we do currently have a wait list.

HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING: CPR/First Aid certification courses are temporarily on hold. Classes will resume once guidelines allow.

 

VIRTUAL Y & SCHEDULES

The facility is opening in phases, but we are still offering virtual Y activities to those that are staying home.
