BIKE SHARE PROGRAM AT THE MARSHALL AREA YMCA

Sometimes, when you travel, it’s difficult to pack the items you want the most. If you love to bike and explore by two wheels, the Marshall Area YMCA offers a bike share program where you can rent, ride and return Trek bikes for a small fee. If you want to spend the afternoon feeling the wind on your face on the Camden Regional Bike Trail, or even keep it for a couple of days to expand your adventures, stop by the Y and rent a bike.

HOW IT WORKS

1. RESERVE YOUR BIKE

Call 507.532.9622 or visit the Marshall Area YMCA during normal hours.

2. PROVIDE INFORMATION

Provide your contact information and a valid credit/debit card.

3. PICK UP YOUR BIKE

Bring a photo ID to The Marshall Area YMCA, fill out the Liability Agreement,  and enjoy your bike!

4. RETURN YOUR BIKE

Bring your bike back to the Marshall Area YMCA on the scheduled return date.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What length of time can I check out a bicycle from the Bike Share program?

Maximum of three (3) calendar days

Is there a charge or fee for use of a bike? 

YES

  • $8 for 1 Day
  • $16 for 2 Days
  • $20 for 3 days

You will be charged before taking your bike.

Can a bike be reserved for an additional 3 days?

YES, but a bike must first be returned on time.

Why do I need a valid credit/debit card to checkout a bike?

​​​​​​This is required in the event the bike, lock/key, and/or helmet are returned damaged or not at all. 

Are there any fees charged to the user if the bike is not returned on time?

YES. An $8/per day, late fee will be assessed to the user upon return of the bike.  After 30 Days the bike is considered stolen and the user will be charged $600.
 

Are there any fees charged to the user if the bike is damaged during usage?

YES. Fees can be assessed on a case-by-case basis. 

Can a bike be reserved on the weekends?

YES, based on availability by visiting The Marshall Area YMCA.

How long is the Bike Share program available?

Weather permitting, mid-April through mid-October.

Are there any substitutes for a valid Driver's License?

Two (2) forms of identification may be substituted.  School ID, Work ID, etc.
