What is ForeverWell?

ForeverWell is a wellness program designed for active older adults (ages 55+). ForeverWell at the YMCA promotes healthy lifestyles, alleviates feelings of isolation, activates your mind, body, and spirit, and more!

Group Exercise

The YMCA offers a variety of Group Exercise classes designed specifically for those 55 & older.

Aqua Fitness

Aquatic exercise is gentle on the joints and an ideal way to maintain flexibility and muscular strength. This class is ideal for our 55+ members but all are welcome and can benefit from these movements.

Strength & Cardio

Modified moves to improve muscle endurance and cardiovascular fitness. You can expect to use a combination of equipment like free weights, resistance bands, and kettlebells. Come and join the fun while breaking a sweat. This class is geared towards our 55+ members but all are welcome!

Chair Yoga

Gentle upper & lower body stretches. Designed for those that don’t want to be on the floor.

ForeverWell Fitness

Fitness After 50 has a new name! You can still expect the same chair-based exercise class that focuses on range of motion, toning, balance & light cardio. This class is geared to our 55+ members but all are welcome!

Dance

You can expect a low-impact, dance inspired workout set to energetic music. This class is geared towards our 55+ members but all are welcome!

Strength & Balance

Build strength, endurance, and balance during this low-impact full-body workout. This class is geared towards our 55+ members but all are welcome!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a slow and gentle exercise that is suitable for older adults, even if they are managing chronic conditions. It offers the benefits of flexibility, muscle strengthening, and endurance training. This class is geared towards our 55+ members but all are welcome!

Line Dancing

Join us for a fun filled morning learning a variety of line dances! While this class is geared towards our 55+ members all are welcome.
