Next Session Begins February 19

This course is designed to teach participants the basics of being a lifeguard.  Students will learn how to recognize and prevent emergencies, utilize Emergency Action Plans, appropriate water rescues, proper swim techniques, surface diving to retrieve objects, and how to perform CPR.  Students will receive a t-shirt, whistle, CPR masks, and certificate of completion.

Upon completion of this course, students will be certified in American Red Cross CPR.  This course will NOT certify a student to become a lifeguard.  The American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course must still be completed once a participant turns 15 years of age.
