St. Patrick's Day Fun Run
The Marshall Area YMCA’s Annual Shamrock Shuffle is back for 2026. Whether you are sprinting for a personal best or enjoying a morning walk with family, this 5K (3.1 mile) fun run is the perfect way to get moving.
The course winds through the heart of Marshall, offering a scenic route that ends with a celebration at Brau Brothers Brewery. We welcome runners and walkers of all ages, including children, strollers, and even leashed dogs!
Choose Your Race: Outdoor or Indoor
We want everyone to participate, regardless of the weather. Choose the path that fits your style:
- The Traditional 5K: Wind through the streets of Marshall and finish strong at Brau Brothers.
- The Virtual/Indoor 5K: Prefer the climate-controlled comfort of the Marshall Area YMCA? Complete your 5K on our treadmills or indoor track on March 14.
Bonus for Non-Members: If you register for the Virtual 5K, you receive a FREE YMCA Day Pass valid for March 14, 2026. Just check in at the membership desk to start your indoor shuffle!

- Free Beanie: Register by February 22, 2026, to receive a limited-edition Shamrock Shuffle beanie hat.
- Post-Race Refreshment: Every participant receives one Brau Brothers drink ticket, valid for one beverage on race day (3/14/26) to celebrate your finish
Participants must register by February 18 to receive the beanie.
Shamrock Swag can not be mailed and must be picked up.

Parking & Transportation: We recommend parking at Brau Brothers Brewery. A complimentary shuttle van will transport participants from the brewery to the YMCA starting line. Please ensure you are on the final shuttle by 10:15 a.m.
Important Event Details
- Course Safety: The route is guided by volunteers and portions will be salted if necessary. Since roads remain open, please stay aware of your surroundings.
- Timing: This is a "Fun Run" and is not chip-timed. However, a race clock will be visible at the finish line for those tracking their performance.
- Facilities: The YMCA lobby, gymnasium, bathrooms, and locker rooms are available for participants to warm up and prepare.
- Refund Policy: As noted during registration, no weather-related refunds are available. We run rain, snow, or shine!
