Every year, YMCA Swim Instructor, Sue Morton, swims laps to support the Y Partners Campaign and to celebrate her and her twin brother's birthday! The number of laps she swims depends on the age of her brother. This year he is celebrating 78 years.
For years, Sue Morton has been an incredible advocate for the Marshall Area YMCA and our community. From teaching swimming lessons to organizing fundraisers, Sue has touched countless lives with her dedication and kindness.
Sue’s Big Swim is one of her most cherished events, raising vital funds for the Y Partners annual campaign, which helps families in financial need access YMCA programs and memberships. This year, however, Sue is unable to swim due to personal reasons. That’s why we’re asking for your support as we keep the tradition of Sue's Big Swim alive.
How You Can Help:
- Volunteer as a swimmer: You can stop by any time during the event hours, 8:30 – 11 a.m., and swim as many laps as you’d like for Sue.
- Support with a donation: If you can’t swim, consider donating to support the cause. Every dollar raised goes directly to families in need. (Choose "Sue's Big Swim" in the Campaign dropdown."
- Spread the word: Share this event with your friends and family to rally even more support for Sue and her amazing legacy.
