Saturday Evening: Prairie & Pines 5K

Kick off the weekend with a relaxed, sunset run along the Camden Regional Trail. This 5K is perfect for all ages and abilities.
- Casual and family-friendly.
- Register by July 8 to guarantee your cooling towel!
- Water station available at the halfway point.
Sunday Morning: Prairie & Pines Half Marathon
August 9, 2026 | 8:00 AM
Test your endurance on a professionally timed course. You’ll run through the SMSU campus, the ADM environmental learning trail, and the outskirts of town.
- Scenic views and chip-timing for competitive runners.
- Register by July 8 to guarantee your race t-shirt!
- Water, first aid, and porta-potties every 2–3 miles.

Packet Pick-Up:
- Saturday, Aug 8: 4:30 PM (For both races)
- Sunday, Aug 9: 6:30 AM (Half Marathon only)
Post-Race Celebration:
Stick around the Red Baron Arena after you cross the finish line! We’ll have local food trucks, music, and a lively atmosphere to celebrate your achievement with the community.
Other Racer Information:
- Facilities: Restrooms are available inside the Red Baron Arena before and after the races.
- Half Marathon Medals: Awards for the top 3 men and women in each age division.
- Course Safety: The Half Marathon has a 4-hour time limit (ending at 12:00 PM). No strollers are permitted in the Half Marathon for safety reasons.
- Traffic: Roads remain open; please follow volunteer directions at all crossings.
